The Texaco Star was a publication created by the Texas Company, later Texaco Inc., for employees and stockholders of the company to receive updates and information on the company's activities. The Texas Company was founded in 1902 by Joseph S. Cullinan, Thomas J. Donoghue, Walter Benona Sharp, and Arnold Schlaet, and it expanded to sell gasoline nationwide under one brand name in all 48 states by 1928. This digital collection contains a full run of Texaco Star issues from Volume 1 through Volume 70. Issues from 1913 to 1963 are openly available, while issues from 1964 to 1983 are available to users logged in with their Cougarnet credentials. The original materials are available in UH Libraries' bound journals collection.
