  • President Philip G. Hoffman sitting next to Roy Hofheinz at a press conference on the gift of $1.5 million for Hofheinz Pavilion. Philip G. Hoffman was the fifth president of the University of Houston, from September 1961 to 1977 and first president of the UH System from 1977 to 1979. He was also UH Vice President and Dean of Faculties from 1957 to 1961.
