Unbuilt, Ledoux's design served as Philip Johnson's inspiration for UH's College of Architecture. This perspective view \"engraving after Ledoux\" is by Van Maëlle and Maillet. The College of Architecture building houses the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture, the William R. Jenkins Architecture and Art Library, and the Sasakawa International Center for Space Architecture. Hines donated funds for the naming of the college rather than the building. The building was dedicated and occupied in May of 1986, with the groundbreaking ceremony on April 16, 1984. The architects were Philip Johnson, John Burgee, and the Morris and Aubrey firm."],"sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","@id":"https://digitalcollections.lib.uh.edu/concern/images/8g84mn361/manifest/sequence/normal","rendering":[],"canvases":[{"@type":"sc:Canvas","@id":"https://digitalcollections.lib.uh.edu/concern/images/8g84mn361/manifest/canvas/1j92g862d","label":"uhlib_1969_037_do8122v636t_0001_ac.tif","width":640,"height":480,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@type":"dctypes:Image","@id":"https://media.lib.uh.edu/images/1j92g862d%2Ffiles%2F0fe996dc-181a-471e-b97e-378c65383ce8/full/600,/0/default.jpg","height":480,"width":640,"format":null,"service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://media.lib.uh.edu/images/1j92g862d%2Ffiles%2F0fe996dc-181a-471e-b97e-378c65383ce8","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json"}},"on":"https://digitalcollections.lib.uh.edu/concern/images/8g84mn361/manifest/canvas/1j92g862d"}]}]}]}
