Description
  • The Fine Arts Building houses Blaffer Gallery, Dudley Recital Hall, the Organ Recital Hall, and Department of Art Offices. The organ, built by Beckerath, was given by Edith Bates Olds, sister of Colonel William B. Bates. The building was dedicated on February 4, 1973. The architects were CRSS. The sculpture in the photograph is titled "Orpheus" and was created by German artist Gerhard Marcks in 1959.
