  • Description of this item from UH Special Collections curator, Julie Grob: Big Moe performs at a club. Raised in Houston's Third Ward, Moe contributed his mix of velvety singing and rapping to numerous screw tapes and released two popular albums, "City of Syrup" and "Purple World." He died of a heart attack in 2007.
