I have Haywood Y Mr.\r\nHagen here sick - Sam we left\r\nas he has not returned yet\r\nwe are at a loss to know whether\r\nhe is very sick or has gone after\r\noysters with Mr. B.  Your letter\r\nto him is here unopened.\r\nI received a letter from D[   ]’s\r\n[           ] before learning she\r\nwill be here to visit us the\r\nlatter part of this month.  I\r\nwill enclose her letter and\r\nlet you form an opinion for yourself\r\n\r\nhas Ma set a day for coming\r\nhome yet.  I am getting so\r\nanxious to see her.  Have not\r\nreceived but one short note\r\nsince she had sore eyes.  D[   ]\r\nexpects to meet her here and I\r\nwas afraid she might not get home\r\nin time though  I wrote her of\r\nthe [fast?].\r\n\r\nTell Sister how sorry\r\nwe were to hear of the babe’s\r\nsickness and that W[         ]\r\nwill be up Friday night so\r\nshe could not get off sooner\r\nthough very anxious to get home.\r\n\r\nYou never saw such a\r\nsea sick crowd as we were going\r\ndown the bay  if you had\r\nseen us about six miles the\r\nother side of W[    ]y and point\r\nso we hung like wilted cab-\r\n-bage leaves over the side of\r\nthe vessel   You would have\r\nsaid we any thing but\r\ninteresting even to poor little\r\nDick [who] was very sick - re[      ]\r\nHe \u0026amp; I only were sick..  Husband\r\nand Mr. Brown laughed at our\r\nfish feeding and offered us fat\r\nmeat but we were too sick\r\nto resent it, and they amused\r\nthemselves at our expense all\r\nthe way.\r\n\r\nAre you never coming.  It\r\nseems  any more if [  ] not\r\nplease enclose a lock of your\r\nhair as a remembrance.\r\n\r\nI suppose you see Miss Myers\r\noccasionally.  [     ] sister g[   ]\r\nyou  [    ] expressions with\r\nher.
