Lea of Cours - In case I am \ncompelled to pay them I may be able to put\nit off for awhile so as to raise the money\nout of something else \u0026amp; not have to use\nany present available means \u0026amp;c \u0026amp;c\nSam Ashe said to me that he thought\nhe would go \u0026amp; see Norwood when he came\ndown from Austin that perhaps he could\ndo more with him than you could\nIf he can do so he shall not lose by do=\ning so,  Now he did not say certain that\nhe would go \u0026amp; see him but rather intima-\nted that it would be best perhaps for him\nto do so.  Consult freely with him, and\nif any letters come show them to him\nas I have every confidence that he will do\nall he can to serve our interests in the ma-\ntter.
