I\r\nfear it will be hard work for him\r\nto get through the summer safely\r\nMy own health is as good as I can hope\r\nfor all things considered.  I do not feel\r\nlike going up to Brothers until cooler\r\nand healthier weather comes. Will\r\nbegin to talk about it in October per-\r\nhaps.  The musketoes [sic] are terrible here\r\nnow, no doubt you have some of the same\r\npestiferous tribe in Houston  The grapes\r\nare now ripe, Peaches nearly all gone\r\nI will not be able to put up any new\r\nthis year, but feel determined to buy\r\nsome as I am so very fond of it \u0026amp; I believe\r\ntoo it gives me strength during these long\r\nhot summers.  I wrote you early in July\r\nby Sam when he went up from here\r\nto pay him sixteen dollars for me\r\n-----------------------------------------------------\r\nAnd now I wish you to pay to Mr Sydnor\r\n$14, dollars \u0026amp; some cents .50 cts for some articles I have\r\ngot of him lately.  Gaston will go to the \"Burg\"\r\nthis evening if the babe continues to improve\r\nthis morning he is better.
