Poor\nlittle children how sad it is to see them\nsick.  I am not feeling well my-\nself and in case the indications for fever\nbecome strong I intend to take medicine\nin time to ward off a severe attack\n\nI am owing Sam Sixteen dollars\nwhich I will be glad if you can\nsend it to him by the first safe \nopportunity as I think he needs it\n\nThe Peaches \u0026amp; Grapes are getting ripe\ncant you come down \u0026amp; spend a few\ndays with us in about ten days or\ntwo weeks for now.  I was not unm\n-indful of your birth day \u0026amp; am glad you\nreceived such a nice present surprises\nto the contrary notwithstanding how do\nyou manage to live this hot weather\n-----------------------------------------------------\nhope you may keep well \u0026amp; keep a\nsharp lookout for yellow fever and \nleave in good time\n\nI have had a letter of\nlate date from my Brother he is improving\nin health \u0026amp; spirits too.\n\nMr. Gaillard has had\nan attack of bilious fever.  I fear we will\nhave a sickly summer.
