I enjoyed the fruit very much as I have\r\n not been well for two weeks past.  Tomorrow\r\nnight two weeks I was attacked with the [         ] -\r\niling disease flux accompanied with very severe\r\npain _ this lasted at intervals some four days\r\nand just [as] I had succeeded in relieving myself\r\nof it, I fell backward striking the end of the spinal\r\nbone on the floor, this accident occurred\r\nlast Thursday evening week, for three days\r\nI could not turn in bed without much pain\r\nand altho it is, I feel sure, slowly improving\r\nI am at no time free from suffering there\r\nseems to be considerable soreness accompanied\r\nwith a dead aching pain.  I am able to walk\r\nabout \u0026amp; set up but by night I am suffering too\r\n--------------------------------------------------------------\r\n[Written upside down along the top of the page, verso]\r\n\r\nI will need some money after a little  you can bring or\r\nsend me some.  Gaston \u0026amp; Sallie says for you will find\r\nthem here until the last of this week, so come if you can\r\n-------------------------------------------------------------------\r\nmuch to sleep for some time  cannot lay on my\r\nback at all.   Well I have arranged with Mrs\r\nJordan to Board with her until our folks can get up\r\nmore room.  I may be here until spring I would not\r\ngo to Mrs. Js until she agreed to take me as a boarder\r\nit will cost me less pr. month than the way I am\r\nnow living.  The room is carpeted has a stove in it\r\nbeside I can during the day use as a setting room one\r\nwith a fire place.  at present Mary Ashe will be\r\nin the same room with me.  I take with me my own\r\nbed \u0026amp;c I think I can be very comfortable there\r\n\r\nI could not keep this house as the owners want it the first\r\nof Jan. or so soon as we can get out of it.  We asked\r\nthe privelige of staying the first month in case\r\nthe bad weather should prevent our moving out\r\n\r\nI suppose you are very busy electioneering, do you\r\nexpect to Canvass the Co.?  I will be so glad to see you \r\nat anytime.  Sallie is keeping a big Turkey \u0026amp; to-\r\nmorrow will make some mince Pies and have in\r\nreadiness by the time you come Gaston cannot go\r\nto his place on account of high water \u0026amp; the boggy\r\nconditions of the roads.
