My dear\r\nSon you never will regain your\r\nhealth unless you are more pru=\r\ndent, Sam said you would not have\r\nleft your bed had it not been to put\r\nup some articles for me.  This only\r\nadded to my regret, I understand and\r\nappreciate the motive which caused \r\nyou to leave your bed in such a debi-\r\nlitated condition. I fear you are suffer-\r\ning for the want of the right treatment\r\nand nursing - My regret is that we\r\nhave to be separated  while your health\r\nis so precarious, as I am sure no one unders=\r\ntands your constitution as will as I do\r\nBut stern necessity knows no law,\r\nand all we can do is to submit and do\r\nthe best we can under the circumstances\r\nI know how anxious you are to hold your\r\nplan and succeed in the giving satisfa\r\nction where your are - My ernest prayer\r\nis that you may soon regain your health\r\nand this you can do by remaining in\r\nbed a few days after taking medicine\r\nuntil your strength returns, do take\r\n­­[opium] regular for a few day as by\r\n---------------------------------------------- \r\ndoing so\r\nyou will be better able to go our in \r\nthe air without injury, or danger of \r\na relaps.\r\n\r\nYou will doubtless remember I\r\ntold you that I had the promise of having\r\nan offer for some of my land here during\r\nthe past week, well I have had an\r\noffer for some, a Gent came here and\r\nI rode round the fifty acre trail on\r\nthe creek (the same Mr G         has a \r\nhold upon) he Mr Fort seemed much\r\npleased with it, and agreed to take it\r\nat seven dollars pr Acre, is to give me\r\nan answer by yesterday two weeks  by letter\r\naddressed to the care of Sydnor \u0026amp; Co\r\nso you will be on the lookout for it\r\nand send it down by Sam I feel as\r\ncertain as any one can that Mr Fort will\r\npurchase the land,  I liked his looks, and\r\nthe way he talked, he is a hard working\r\nman, (so he told me) Yet a man of intelli\r\ngence and business capacity, has a family\r\nand will move here by, or before Chri\r\nstmas.
