I had been looking for it.  The papers\nyou sent I read with much interest particular[l]y\nthat part in which your dear name appeared\nso conspicuously I almost regretted that anything\ncould occur to turn you from the even tenor of\nyour present occupation.  But of this no doubt you are\nbetter able to judge than I, and am satisfied and proud\nof my Son.  Mr. Potter handed me some papers\nyou sent up by him \u0026amp; told me that you had\ngained his case it makes me happy until yet\nto recall his happy delighted looks, he\nthinks you are a great Lawyer\n\nWell for my poor self\nI have been sick all this week not very however sick however\n\u0026amp; on Thursday evening last fell \u0026amp; hurt myself which\ngave me considerable suffering for some thirty-\nsix hours, but am now recovering from it, so I am\nable to sit up \u0026amp; walk about some.  We are in an\nunsettled state which is terribly unpleasant.  Sis\nhad a letter from Gaston he is still in Houston\nwhich will delay their move.  I feel tempted\nto try to get this place until Spring as it will \nbe only a continuation of the unrest \u0026amp; disquiet\nI am now in to go to Mrs Jordans for a few\n----------------------------------------------------------------\nweeks.  I am not certain that I could get\nthe place longer than for the present month\nLet me have you views in regard to the matter\nI dislike so much to be constantly troubling you\nBut feel that some one must be troubled as well\nas myself and some how I turn to you.  I think\nGaston may be delayed in getting comfortable quar\n-ters for me our at his place or we may expect\nhad weather at this season of the year.  I could stay\nhere \u0026amp; not go to any very great outlay as I could keep of\nSallies things most all I would need except\nsome provisions.  So soon as I hear form you I will\nor will not as the case may be) see Mr Sandal\n\u0026amp; let you know\n\nWe are all having colds but no\none sick.  I am so sorry the Country is to be unset\n-tled again by an other election.  I read the new\nConstitution but am not sufficiently well\nposted in regard to the bad fathers of the old\none to pa  compare \u0026amp; pass judgment.  Let any\nsuggestions you make come as from yourself not\nas in answer to my remarks in this note\nCan you send me a few Apples.
