I found\r\nSallie sick from what appeared\r\nto be indigestion.  all night the \r\nTuesday she had been very sick\r\nvomiting frequently but when\r\nI reached here she was better tho\r\nstill sick at her stomach.  And\r\nnot until 8 Oclock did she\r\nhave any pain that indicated \r\nher time had come to be con-\r\nfined.  about ten Oclock she\r\nbecome quiet until morning\r\nwhen pain came on again, and\r\nat 5 Oclock she gave birth to a \r\ndaughter, both are doing well\r\nI have never seen Sallie\r\n------------------------------------\r\nhave as easy \u0026amp; good a time before and\r\nup to now 4 Oclock she is as\r\nbright and comfortable as can\r\nbe.  She says however that it\r\ndon't seem possible she can\r\ngo on so well.  But I hope\r\nwith care she will and\r\nthat this time she will esca-\r\n-pe that terrible after sick-\r\nness.  As to the Gal baby \r\nshe is a very pretty child for \r\nher age, and all are delighted \r\nwith the her advent.  Willie\r\ncould not go to school yesterday\r\nfor admiring her little Sister.\r\n\r\nEll \u0026amp; I keep well  Ell.\r\ngoes to school to Miss William\r\nson with Willie.  Tell Ara\r\nI think of home - and wonder \r\nhow she is getting along.  I hope\r\nto hear from home today, as\r\nSam was so complaining\r\n----------------------------------------\r\nI have not failed to read\r\nwith much satisfaction \r\nthe result of the Election \r\nin Harris Co. even if Mc\r\nComb is with others on\r\nour Ticket is elected\r\nto keep me posted, as\r\nto how you get along at\r\nhome.\r\n\r\nDoct J is improving very \r\nslowly is very low spirited about\r\nhis recovery  had not as Sam sug-\r\ngested been drinking doubtless\r\nhad not taken enough.\r\nGaston is going about but\r\nis feeble yet.\r\n\r\nWith much love for\r\nSam \u0026amp; yourself  Your\r\nMother    Mary Jones.\r\n\r\nI reached here in the nick of\r\ntime.
