  • This is a typewritten letter from Elizabeth H. Potter to the President of the United States Woodrow Wilson in which Elizabeth H. Potter requests President Wilson's help and support to pass a statute giving women the right to vote in the July election primaries. Elizabeth H. Potter states that the President's vocal support of such a statue would go a long way in securing women in Texas the right to vote in primary elections and expresses the urgency of women getting this right to offset the suffrage detractors unfairly influencing the campaign and disadvantaging both women and African-Americans.
