  • A collection of letters between City of Houston City Engineer and Chief Engineer for the Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railway Company, in which I. Austin Miller requests written permission for his Assistant Engineer to cross over Buffalo Bayou. The request was later transferred to General Manager, L. J. Polk in which he inquires about a liability release in case of any injuries sustained while crossing said bridge. After determining that a release would not be possible, L. J. Polk denies I. Austin Miller's request, and refers the matter over to General Attorney, J. W. Terry.
